I'm a wedding and portrait photographer passionate about capturing love stories.
I've dated a few cowboy clowns before I finally found my Rip Wheeler. He's given me a constant reason to smile and made me believe in love again. Real, happy, love. When we married, we didn't take but a few photos. Since being with my husband, I crave being around happy couples. I take every photo I wish I had and I love hearing each couple's unique love story. Especially during the toasts.
I love to pose my couples and make the Bridal pages you've been staring at come to life. I have experienced loss of loved ones to know the candid shots are just as important. I capture the glimpses, smiles, touches and whispers of the day. I can easily make a simple day look like a fairytale love story.
I'm a Southern, tomboy, who grew up in the woods and bayous of Louisiana, fishing with my dad. Sundays were spent with Jesus, family and football. It was a typical night when my neighbors could hear the Pointer Sisters blaring through my boom box.
When I was 13 my family moved to Georgia and would forever call this home, seperated from all of our family. I believe it was this dramatic change in life that rooted a deep connection in my soul with Spanish Moss trees, family gatherings and love stories.
Documenting everything. When I travel, I take pictures with one hand and video with the other hand. I want to remember it all.

I love the old history and the quiet, peaceful, feeling that calms my mind.

I can talk to anyone and get their life story without trying.
I've jumped into the world of compositing photos. I love seeing a fantasy come together, as if it happened in real life.
Thrifting. I love going in and not knowing what will come home with me. Lately, it's been Nicholas Sparks' hardback books. I'm up to 19 books and I'm not even a reader.
I value open communication with my couples. I pray my couples will be open, honest and transparent with me, in what they envision during their day. As every couple pulls inspiration from Pinterest, I sprinkle moments of the day as they naturally occur. I create elegant, timeless memories without any photo manipulation.
"It's all in the details," is more than just a saying. It's a rule of thumb, especially for photographers. If my camera was a list of ingredients for a recipe, I'd need to know exactly which button to hit and how to find the best lighting. As a chef knows not to add too much of an ingredient, I know the best placement for my couples to best avoid shadows and sun flare through the lens. The tiniest of details can make the biggest impact of the day.
