Welcome to one of the most elegant wedding venues in Georgia. Had I not been invited, I’d never believe this venue existed in my neck of the woods, literally. This venue is the kind of gem you find in Atlanta, not tucked into the countryside of North Georgia. White Fox Cottage has it all. Sunlight, sunlight and more sunlight, in every room. This is unheard of. Wedding parties with a large number of guests would fit perfectly inside. There’s enough space for your guests to comfortably mingle, without bumping shoulders. The best part, which you can’t find most places…if it rains on your wedding day, there’s plenty of room on the patio for a covered ceremony.
Inside the Venue
Before you even step inside, you can tell something special is waiting indoors. What I love the most, is the bridal suite. It is HUGE! Brides with a large wedding party, this is your venue. This is the bridal suite you need. Unlike most bridal suites, I’ve seen, this one includes a sofa, extra chairs, as well as a six person makeup station with stools.
Here’s where I have to mention the two windows, inviting extra light to dance around the room. In the corner, next to the window, is a life size mirror, perfect for bridal photos with the wedding dress. This suite allows several spots for casual bridal photos, while getting ready. If time allows, I love to capture candid photos of the Bride moving about her day. You can see some are candid and some have slight posing, since I go back and forth. I could fill a memory card in this room alone.
As you make your way into the heart of the venue, you’ll notice all the extra room, even with the tables set up, there’s plenty of room to walk around and speak to all of your guests. There’s so much light in this room, your photos are sure to look bright and beautiful.
Now let’s talk about the cake table. The most common mistake I see, in wedding venues, is the fact almost every wedding cake is pushed up against a wall, making it a struggle for photographers to squeeze in for photos. With this room being so spacious, there’s enough space for the couple to face the crowd, when cutting the cake, as well as placing the champagne next to the cake for the toast. So whether you plan to gently feed each other or rub the cake all over your partner’s face, your photographer is sure to capture every second.
I took advantage of all this light inside the White Fox Cottage and captured some great Bride and Groom photos. This couple was standing close to each other and she was swinging her dress a little bit, so I asked her to be more dramatic with it and captured this great shot. Then I gave them their space and just let my lens follow them through the room, as they spent private moments together, just the two of them, lost in their own world

Swings are becoming more popular and this, by far, is my favorite swing. What makes this one stand out from the rest is the framing around it and the design to hide the actual swing. What I love most about this swing, is how clean and elegant it looks. This swing is the prettiest, classiest one I’ve seen.
I love sneaking in shots of the wedding dress from all angles. All the stress of choosing THE DRESS, I want to make sure you remember every single detail.
Now, moving on to where the ceremonies take place. I’ve never seen anything like it, definitely a one of a kind. You can see it tucked away, snuggled in the trees of solitude with nothing but the crickets and wind to sing its praises, as the newly wedded couples rush off to celebrate their union.
As the day comes to an end, you see there’s more than enough additional space for a party crowd, under the roof. This would make a great backup plan if you have rain on your wedding day, as well as double up as a huge dance floor.
